“Critical condition”: Jeremy Renner seriously injured while clearing snow in the US 02/01/2023, 10:20

The United States was hit by heavy snowfall, which, according to the latest data, claimed 57 lives. The actor known for his role as the superhero Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films appeared on the list of victims.

Jeremy Renner was seriously injured in a snowblower accident while clearing an area near his home in Lake Tahoe. The man was taken to hospital by helicopter. “Jeremy is in critical but stable condition following a weather-related accident while shoveling snow,” Renner’s spokesman said.

According to the actor’s representative, he is “receiving excellent care”, with relatives by his side. The two-time Oscar nominee is a fan of big cars. He has previously posted photos and videos of himself operating an industrial snowplow as he clears the driveway of his Sierra Nevada estate near Rose Ski Tahoe in Washoe County. “I have tremendous respect for Mother Earth and Mother Nature…I expect to lose the fight, but I will always try my best,” Jeremy said.

Renner also often spends time working with local fire departments. He helps rescue teams with forest fires around his home. “I work with the firemen there and they’re pretty cool. They teach me and help me,” he said in an interview.

A snowstorm has hit much of California, causing traffic jams and closing the state’s major highways. There was a lot of snow in the high Sierra Nevada where Jeremy lives. The US National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a warning for hazardous driving conditions on snowy mountain passes. Dozens of drivers were rescued near Lake Tahoe on New Year’s Eve, according to the California Department of Transportation.
