In 2001, the film Spy Kids was released on the big screens. The main young heroes – Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara – woke up as superstars. Two more installments followed in hot pursuit and then… the on-screen brother and sister disappeared off the radar.
Of course, Alexa won a crowd of fans, but her fate remained unknown to the general public.
