Kate Winslet is a mother of three children. The eldest Mia was born in 2000 in the marriage of the actress with the director Jim Trippleton. Joe’s son Alfie was born in 2003, when Kate married director Sam Mendes. In 2013, Winslet became the mother of many children: with her millionaire husband Ned Rocknroll, she had a son, Bear Blaze.
Kate kept it a secret for many years that the eldest Mia was born by caesarean section. She was ashamed of this fact, afraid of public distrust and did not consider herself a real woman.
“I tried to hide it. She just said I gave birth naturally. I was traumatized by not giving birth. I felt like a total failure. All my life I’ve been told I have great hips for giving birth. There’s a perception that when you give birth , you can handle everything. It seemed to me that I could not join this “club of real women”, “the actress admitted years later.
