Gone is good: children of Russian celebrities living in America

Every parent wants to give their child the best. Someone sees it in education and someone else in life in America.

Some celebrities like Sasha Zvereva or Maria Mashkova moved to the States with their entire families. However, today’s heroes of our selection once sent their children to live abroad, while they themselves stayed in Russia, because there is work here.

Many do not understand what this life in different countries and endless separation is for (given the strained relations between our countries, restrictions due to covid and other “buts” that prevent frequent communication), but the stars are sure that they did the right thing.

The eldest daughter of Vera Brezhneva, Sonya Kiperman, has been living in the USA for several years, far from her parents. In 2019, the girl entered a prestigious college in Los Angeles, so she does not see her mother as often as she would like. Sonya also had to miss her anniversary in February 2022 – because of her studies. But it is clear that Kiperman likes life abroad and says she will stay there after graduation.

The youngest daughter of Anna Sedokova, Monica Chernyavskaya, could be happy to live with her mother in Russia, only the girl is a US citizen and obeys American laws. When the conflict between Anna and her ex-husband Maxim Chernyavsky went to court, the judge decided that Monica should live in her homeland, so Anna sees her daughter very rarely – once every few months. And he is very worried about it.

15-year-old Tonya Khudyakova is the daughter of a famous Russian director who has lived in Miami almost all her life and recently moved to Los Angeles. The girl studies at a local school and travels a lot around the world as part of international competitions – she is a dancer. On the site, Tonya is often criticized for too “adult” content on Instagram (the social network is recognized as extremist and banned on the territory of the Russian Federation), and parents are blamed for this: they say they overlooked it.

In 2009, Evgenia Brik and Valery Todorovsky became parents: their daughter Zoya was born. At that time, the couple had already decided to move to Los Angeles, and the girl was born in America, where she remained to live: her parents wanted their daughter to grow up in a sunny climate and breathe sea air. Nevertheless, Evgenia and Valery themselves had to return to Russia, where work awaited them. All these years they lived in two countries. And in 2022, Evgenia Brik died: the actress hid her illness for many years.

The only daughter of Leonid Agutin and Angelika Varum Elizabeth was born in 1999. Already at the age of 4, the parents decided to send their daughter to live in Miami. Since then, Lisa has been living in the United States, and in 2021 she even got citizenship, which she is incredibly happy about. Agutina has a friend in America and plans to build her life there. Parents, like all these years, sometimes come to see their daughter.

Erika Kiknadze decided many years ago that she wanted to study and live in America. Mom Natalya Kiknadze and stepfather Ivan Urgant made a decision. Parents and daughter rarely see each other, but they are very supportive of each other and are in constant contact. In the US, Erica works as a model and also runs an online store with vintage clothing.

Few people remember that before Regina Burd, Sergei Zhukov was already married. His first wife in 2000 was Elena Dobyndová. A year later, their daughter Daria was born. Unfortunately, family life coincided with the growing popularity of Hands Up! and the couple’s marriage broke up – they broke up in 2005. Soon, Elena decided to move to the USA with her daughter. Dasha, who is already 20 years old, still lives in Chicago and sees her dad once every few months.

Igor is the adopted son of Tatyana Ovsienko and her ex-husband Vladimir Dubovitsky. As a result, the guy liked abroad and stayed to live there: he met his future wife, became a father. Tatyana does not hide the fact that she misses her son very much, but she is glad that he has found his place in life.

Kirill Safonov first married a girl named Elena. In 1994, they became the parents of a daughter, Anastasia, and after the divorce, Elena went abroad with the child to Israel. Later, Anastasia moved to the United States, where she met her future husband, Irish financier Stephen Murphy. Since then, the question of where to live and raise a family has not arisen for the daughter of the Russian actor.

Alexei and Yulia Navalny have two children – daughter Daria and son Zakhar. Daše is already 20 years old and since 2019 she is a student at Stanford University and lives there, in California. It is not known whether the girl will continue to live in the United States after graduation (and it will happen in 2023), but for now she feels very confident, despite the fact that she lives far from her family.
