The 90s star admitted that she was diagnosed with breast cancer during a routine mammologist examination in 2018. Linda immediately decided to have surgery.

“The margins weren’t very good, and due to other health factors, I definitely wanted to put it all behind me and not have to deal with it, so I decided to have a bilateral mastectomy. I thought I would live to the end of my life. Breast cancer would no longer kill me,” Evangelista said.

The 58-year-old model faced the disease again last year. Linda felt a pressure on her chest. She asked for a consultation with an oncologist, and he was “not impressed” with the results of the examination. Evangelista had an MRI and a biopsy. This time, the model was diagnosed with breast cancer. Former lover Francois Henri-Pino emotionally turned to the surgeon and asked him not to worry about the aesthetics of her body.

“Dig a hole in my chest. I don’t need it to look pretty. I want you to clean everything up. When you’re done, I want to see the holes in your chest. Do you understand me? I’m not going to die for it,” said the model.

The mother of 16-year-old Augustin underwent radiation and chemotherapy. The supermodel didn’t want to tell others about it. According to Linda, she was “survivor on alert” at the time. Now the Evangelist managed to completely overcome the disease. The model admitted that doctors give good predictions of her condition.

However, Linda does not rule out that in a few years, oncology may return. According to the model, she has a “terrible oncotype indicator” that gives a high probability of recurrence. “I know I have one foot in the grave, but I’m fully committed to celebrating,” WSJ Magazine quoted the Evangelist as saying.

Linda admitted last year that she underwent liposuction. The procedure was unsuccessful, as a result of which the model developed paradoxical fat hyperplasia, which did not allow her to lose weight with diet and exercise. Evangelista demanded $50 million in damages.

The catwalk star maintains friendly relations with the mother of her son’s half-sister, Salma Hayek. According to Evangelista, the actress often invites her to family celebrations.
