Draco plays before Hogwarts: how Tom Felton made his film debut in the company of Dr. House and the future stars of “Harry Potter”

The Harry Potter saga made young actors famous around the world, but many of them have already starred in films. Only then did they not pay attention to them.

For example, the actor of the role of Draco Malfoy made his film debut in 1997 when he played the role of Peregrine Courant in the movie “Getters” (also known as “Thieves”).

Fun fact: Felton’s future partners in the Harry Potter films, Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley) and Jim Broadbent (Professor Slughorn) also starred in the same film. And also Hugh Laurie, who later became famous for the role of Dr. House in the series of the same name.

But at the time of the film’s release, only Broadbent was considered a star among them by the producers. It was to him and actor John Goodman, who already had a Golden Globe, that the advertising of the picture attracted, and the names of the other actors were only mentioned in the credits.
