Forensic experts in Los Angeles determined that the cause of Presley’s death was obstruction of the small intestine. The complication was caused by adhesions that appeared after gastric bypass surgery. Lisa-Maria had surgery a few years ago to lose weight.

A therapeutic dose of opioids and buprenorphine, which is used to treat opioid addiction and an antipsychotic, were also found in her blood. The expert made it clear that the drugs could not have caused the sharp deterioration in her condition. “Drugs and paraphernalia” were not found in the home of Michael Jackson’s first wife at the time of his hospitalization, and the tests showed a negative result.

It is known that Lisa-Maria underwent a cosmetic procedure a few months before her death, after which she was prescribed medication. The singer often forgot that she had already taken the drug and could accidentally do it again. The report also stated that Presley had a history of alcohol and drug abuse, according to TMZ.
