Tiffany was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, a facial nerve problem that affects the facial muscles, causing them to sag or become paralyzed on one side. The young mother’s illness affected her entire face. According to Tiffany, she felt the first symptoms after being released from the hospital.

“When I got home, it started to seem to me that the language had become somewhat unusual. There was a slight tingle, it started to go a little numb, and then I realized that my face was just kind of weird. I didn’t know what that feeling was, but it was just weird. Everything started to fall on its own like it was melting my face,” Tiffany opened up.

The chosen one of the actor hoped that the malaise would pass. A week after giving birth, Chen went to the doctor for advice. According to Tiffany, by the time she arrived at the hospital, her face had completely stopped listening to her.

“I went to put my forkful of food in my mouth and everything fell out. I couldn’t eat and started crying. So I said, “There’s really something going on here.” I was told, “Go straight to the hospital.” I was admitted, and as soon as I got to the hospital, my face stopped working,” CBS Mornings quoted Chen as saying.

Experts in neurological disorders believe that people aged 15-45 are prone to such a disease. Pregnancy, obesity, diabetes and upper respiratory tract diseases can become a provoking factor.

Chen and De Niro met on the set of The Intern. Six years later, in 2021, the couple began appearing on dates in New York. De Niro first appeared with his chosen one only a month and a half after the birth of his daughter.

Gia Virginia is De Niro’s seventh child. The Godfather 2 star has two children, Drena, 51, and Rafael, 46, with his first wife, Dianne Abbott. In his second marriage with Grace Hightower, De Niro became the father of two daughters – 25-year-old Elliot and 11-year-old Helen. The actor also has twins Julian and 27-year-old Aaron from his relationship with actress Tookie Smith.
