Instead, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, along with their children, joined a crowd of celebrating Americans in a parade in honor of the Fourth of July, when the US celebrated its independence from British rule.

The Duke of Sussex was pictured in the crowd with his daughter at the Montecito Association Village Roadshow in California. He tried not to draw attention to himself as he wore blue jeans, a green shirt, a green cap pulled down over his face, and sunglasses covering his eyes. Princess Lilibet appeared in a charming blue dress with a floral print, an elegant collar and puffy sleeves. The image of the two-year-old baby was completed by white fishnet stockings and bright red shoes. Meghan Markle and the couple’s son, 4-year-old Prince Archie, also attended the celebration, but avoided meeting the paparazzi.

The eldest son of the Dukes of Sussex, Archie, was born on May 6, 2019 in the United Kingdom, when his parents were still senior members of the British royal family. Lilibet was born on June 4, 2021 – already after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry resigned and moved to the United States. The couple and children live in their own spacious estate in Montecito, Santa Barbara.

The children of the disgraced monarchy couple did not initially receive titles and were known by the surname Mountbatten-Windsor. However, after Charles III ascended the throne, they rightfully received the status of prince and princess. The king met his youngest granddaughter only once, at the platinum jubilee of the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2022. It was during the official events that the baby celebrated her first birthday. Meghan and Harry held a private family picnic party at Frogmore Cottage, which was given to them by the Queen for their wedding. Recently, however, Charles III. officially evicted his youngest son and daughter-in-law from this residence at Windsor Castle.

In March, the dukes confirmed that Princess Lilibet had been christened in an intimate ceremony in Montecito. Representatives for the couple said the king, his wife Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton were invited to the event but did not attend, the Daily Mail reports.

In May, Prince Harry came to London for the day to attend his father’s coronation. However, he only stayed at home for a few hours and after the solemn service he returned to the United States to celebrate his son’s birthday.
