Kostomarov previously showed himself training with prosthetics to Machete’s track “Anyone, You’re Hot”. Today he was caught training on the Ronan Hardiman Ancient Lands compound. The skater first worked out on a treadmill, then started lifting dumbbells on his hands and completed a few more exercises. “Overcoming everything… How sports and training distract me from everything that is going on in my life…” – said Roman.

On January 10, the famous figure skater was hospitalized in Kommunarka with pneumonia in an extremely serious condition. He was on ventilators, ECMO, in a medically induced coma for a long time. Due to circulatory disorders, tissue necrosis began and, under the threat of gangrene, a partial amputation was necessary. In mid-March, it became clear that Roman was conscious, his condition began to improve. All this time, his wife Oksana Domnina is next to him.
