The singer took custody of four children from Malawi. The first was a boy, David Banda Mwale, in 2006, and three years later, a girl, Chikundo Mercy James. Madonna adopted twins Stella and Esther in 2017. The singer also has a daughter, Lourdes, with actor Carlos Leon, and a son, Rocco John, with director Guy Ritchie.

The couple has six children, three of whom are adopted. In 2002 in Cambodia, Angelina adopted Maddox, in 2005 – Zahara from Ethiopia (later Brad Pitt also applied for adoption and the children became common). In 2007, the couple adopted a Vietnamese boy, Pax Tien. Born children – daughter Shiloh, twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline.

The couple adopted two children – Isabella Jane in 1993 and Connor Anthony in 2005, after the divorce they stayed with their father and supported his religious views by joining the Scientology sect. Kidman, married to Keith Urban, had daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret (carried by a surrogate mother), Cruise had a daughter Suri, married to Katie Holmes.

Since Sandra was married to Jesse James, she was going to adopt the child, but the divorce came before the documents were ready. However, in 2010 she adopted a boy, Louis Bardot, and three years later, a girl, Layla.

The actress adopted a boy named Jackson in 2012 and a girl named August in 2015. Last year, she announced that Jackson is a transgender girl and does not intend to interfere with the child’s self-expression.

The actress and husband Christopher Guest secured custody of a girl, Annie, in 1986 and a boy, Thomas, in 1996.

In 2000, married to San Francisco Chronicle editor Phil Bronstein, the actress adopted Roen Joseph. After the divorce, the boy stayed with his father. Then in 2005 Sharon adopted Laird Vaughn and a year later Quinn Kelly.

After marrying singer John Kelly, the actress decided to adopt a girl named Nancy Lee from South Korea. This happened in 2009, and before flying to the United States, the child underwent heart surgery. In 2012, the couple adopted Adelaide Marie Hope. Their son Joshua Bishop was born in December 2016.

In 2015, the actress and her husband Andrew Upton adopted a child, Edith Vivian. The couple has three natural sons: Dashiell John, Roman Robert and Ignatius Martin.

After several miscarriages in Deborra-Lee Furness, the couple decided to adopt two children: a boy Oscar Maximilian (2000) and a girl Ava Eliot (2005).
