Rumer and boyfriend, musician Derek Richard Thomas, have a one-and-a-half-month-old daughter, Luetta. The actress gave birth to her first child at home. Willis revealed the details of her birth for the first time. According to Rumerová, she did not manage to avoid dangerous situations.

The eldest daughter of actors Demi Moore and Bruce Willis said that she was helped on the day by a doula, mother, sisters Tallulah and Scout, as well as the baby’s father. The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actress admitted that the birth happened quickly: in just an hour, her cervix opened and contractions began.

Rumer moved into a full bathroom, but the doula told her her water still didn’t break. “She examined me and felt my amniotic sac was bulging, but it still hadn’t ruptured, which was wild,” Willis opened up.

The actor’s daughter recalled that sometimes doctors puncture the bladder themselves. Rumer discussed this possibility with her doula. “So I thought, ‘Maybe we should open it up?’ She said, “Well, you can.” And I said: “What? Are you serious?” I touched it with my fingers and it felt crazy. I could totally feel this little pouch. It feels like a water balloon to the touch, but in a stronger shell,” Rumer admitted.

The young mother was able to open the bubble according to all directions of the doula. “She just said, ‘OK, next fight, just put your finger on it.’ And I opened it. I think there is a photo left where I look shocked and surprised. Because it’s a completely different feeling when the amniotic sac is pressed against the cervix and when it’s happening with the baby’s head,” explained the 34-year-old actress.

According to Rumer, she seemed to be “pushing” her daughter, and after two contractions, the baby was born. However, the girl was found to have a tangled umbilical cord. “The head popped out, I pushed again and the whole body fell out completely. There was no pause in between. It wasn’t that moment where people said, “Oh, the head came out.” The midwife and my partner caught her. It was the wildest thing. Her umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck and around her body, almost like a ribbon for a prom. We had four arms around her in backup… as soon as she unraveled, she was in my arms,” said the Die Hard actor’s daughter.

Willis admitted that she broke down in tears at that moment and uttered a strange line. “My sister actually told me something I had no idea. At some point I looked at Luetta and said, “I missed you so much.” I thought it was so cute because it was really like, ‘Oh yeah! We’re back together,'” Rumer is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail, referring to the Informed Pregnancy podcast.
