The People’s Artist of Russia was at home when his health deteriorated sharply. It all started with a headache, then he suddenly felt dizzy and his eyes darkened, the singer almost lost consciousness. An ambulance was called for Yuri Mihajlovic.

Arriving doctors diagnosed Antonov with hypertensive heart disease and insisted on immediate hospitalization. The performer of the hit “The Roof of Your House” was taken to a Moscow clinic, where they performed tests and prescribed a set of examinations.

Doctors stopped the heart attack and stabilized the composer’s health. Due to the advanced age of the musician, he was advised to stay in the hospital for at least a few days under the supervision of qualified personnel. However, Antonov refused hospitalization and was released early, despite the serious concerns of doctors. In his defense, Yuriy Mikhailovich mentioned extreme employment. According to the singer, the renovation work in his house is in full swing and he must be there to personally check the expensive process, Mash Telegram channel reports.

The famous musician lived for many years in his spacious dacha in Novo-Peredelkino. In 2011, Yuri Mikhailovich moved into a three-story columned mansion in the style of Russian classicism in the elite cottage village of Gribovo, located 15 kilometers west of Moscow.

The peak of the artist’s fame occurred in the 1980s. In 2001, Antonov released an album dedicated to the 30th anniversary of his creative activity. In addition to popular songs, it also contained little-known songs by the singer. In 2021, Golden Gramophone premiered Yuri Mikhailovich’s composition “Beloved”, which he performed in a duet with Grigory Leps.

Yuri Antonov had virtually no close relatives left in the Russian capital. His first wife Anastasia settled in the USA. Miroslava Bobanovich’s second wife was a citizen of Yugoslavia. The third chosen one, Anna, lives in Paris. The artist’s daughter Ludmila also emigrated to France. Only the 26-year-old son of the musician Mikhail remained in Moscow. He will probably have to take over the primary care of an elderly parent.
