Dive into the price list: the renewed Porsche Cayenne with more cylinders
aThe Porsche Cayenne has been completely renewed with a facelift. With a break in the price list, we make ourselves known again.
The Porsche Cayenne underwent a facelift for the 2023 model year and Porsche took no chances. The visual changes are subtle but noticeable. For example, we see slightly squarer headlights and the rear light strip has tighter contours and a 3D effect. Inside, the changes are bigger, including an all-new dashboard with curved instruments like we know from the Taycan. On request, the touchscreens extend to the front passenger.

The necessary updates have also been made under the hood: the S version swaps its 2.9-liter V6 for a 4.0-liter V8. On the other side of the spectrum, you should now be able to drive 90 km purely electrically (WLTP) with the slightly more powerful E-Hybrid. At the beginning of the month we were able to experience how the renewed E-Hybrid drives. Now we mainly focus on the equipment of the renewed Porsche Cayenne and put one together.
Prices renewed Porsche Cayenne
Currently, shortly after its launch, the new Cayenne is available in three variants. The “standard version”, the E-Hybrid and the S. Many more variants will follow over time, just like before the facelift. It’s no surprise that the hybrid version is the most economical option given our tax climate. The starting price is 110,000 euros. The “standard version” costs at least 146,200 euros, quite a difference. If your bank account is even better filled, the Cayenne S comes into play from 182,600 euros.

Of course, a Porsche Cayenne is richly equipped as standard, so we’ll stick with the highlights. These are: 20-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable and heated comfort seats, high-gloss silver exterior accents, heated exterior mirrors, Matrix LED headlights, cruise control that adapts to the current speed limit, active interior air purification, wireless smartphone charger, infotainment with voice control and the sound package plus. The three models now available differ only in detail in terms of standard equipment. Above all, you have the choice between the different types of drive.
Assemble the renewed Porsche Cayenne
Speaking of which: For those who make rational decisions, there is really only one logical option: the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid. This is by far the cheapest variant, by far the most economical variant (when used as intended) and is in no way inferior to the “standard” Cayenne in terms of performance. Nevertheless, we choose the Cayenne S. You just don’t buy a Porsche rationally and we want a V8 while we still can. The V8 delivers 349 kW (474 hp) with a maximum torque of 600 Nm. This takes us to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and it goes on to 275 km/h.

The next step is to choose the body color. White is standard, black is optional and available at no extra cost. For an additional 1,220 euros, we can choose between the metallic colors white, black, light grey, dark grey, a greyish dark blue and another shade of dark blue. The “special body colors” dark grey, “chalk”, beige and dark red are available for an additional charge of 2,513 euros. If it is still not for you, you can choose a “desired color” for an additional charge of 10,229 euros. Then really all the colors from the Porsche range are possible. We choose dark red.
Then there is a huge selection of rims from 20 to 22 inches. These are seven basic designs that are available in different color variants. There are a number of notable variants. Gold-colored rims are one thing, but how about rims that are mostly body-colored? Ultimately, our choice falls on the black 21-inch RS Spyder rims, in combination with which the wheel arch edges are finished in the body color (instead of black). We also include anti-theft bolts for 63 euros.
interior design
Moving on to the interior, which is completely black as standard and is half upholstered in leather. Beige surfaces are also available for 190 euros. A full leather upholstery costs 3,481 euros, in combination with a tan 4,109 euros (see photos). Club leather with special stitching costs 5,172 to 5,675 euros extra, but for 1,112 euros there must also be at least comfort seats with extra adjustment options. Let’s go crazy and choose black leather with burgundy color that goes well with the exterior. We still select these additional settings options as a separate option.

Then we come to the individual options and there are quite a few of them. From obvious things to eye-catching stickers for the doors. As an example, we have attached the PS values to the front doors. We will not exhaust ourselves with all possibilities, but only communicate our decisions.
