In Russia, a brand new Lada Niva costs a little more than 8,000 euros. Therefore, we were surprised when we saw the asking price of a used Lada Niva for sale in the Russian city of Tolyatti.

On the Internet we came across an advertisement for a Lada Niva from 1980. To get straight to the point: the provider charges an insane 267,826 euros for it. Then there must be something special about it, right?

Lada Niva used car in perfect condition

That’s right. As our gaze wandered to the mileage, we grabbed a bite. The counter shows only 220 kilometers. On average, the used Lada Niva is driven a little more than five kilometers per year. Nevertheless, it is an exorbitant price that does not seem entirely justified. We recently wrote about this old Skoda that only had 34 kilometers on the clock and didn’t cost nearly as much.

Despite the inflated asking price, we admire the impeccable condition of the Lada Niva used car. The car had only one owner who apparently hardly drove it. The Lada spent most of its time indoors under a tarpaulin, so the red paint was never attacked by the sun.
