We told you: wait! Citroën e-C4 and e-C4 X get a longer range

In our video about the Citroën e-C4 X, we asked you to wait before buying the electric sedan. Why? Because we were sure that Citroën would soon introduce a new powertrain with more range. And voila…

Well, don’t expect too much from our forecasting capabilities. All Stellantis electric vehicles share the same powertrain, which is gradually being upgraded to a higher standard. So it stands to reason that it would also be the turn of the Citroën.

Citroën e-C4 and e-C4 X now also with 156 hp and 54 kWh

DS 3, Opel Mokka Electric, Peugeot e-208 and e-2008 already have the new powertrain, which consists of a 156 hp electric motor (previously 136 hp) and a 54 kWh battery (previously 50 kWh).

Range now up to 421 kilometers for the e-C4 X

The results vary by model, but in fact all of the above models have a range of more than 400 kilometers. The same applies to the Citroën e-C4 and e-C4 X, which can now travel a maximum of 421 kilometers with a full battery.

Bizarre that only the top version gets a new powertrain

It is extremely strange that not all versions of the e-C4 and e-C4 X currently get the new powertrain. Only if you go for the top version of Shine will you benefit from it. The Live, Feel and Feel Pack still has the old electric motor and battery.

No facelift and no interior changes

Otherwise, nothing will change on the two Citroëns. Exterior and interior remain the same. Fast charging is possible in all versions with a maximum of 100 kW, and the upgraded drive train does not change that.
