Why You Shouldn’t Buy a Mini If You Hate Dogs
do you hate dogs Then the upcoming electric mini is probably not for you. Because you get beaming help from a digital four-legged friend named Spike.
When it comes to digital assistants, we always think of Clippy, that pesky paperclip that kept popping up in Microsoft Windows to give you advice.
Personal Assistant Mini is called Spike
But they are now appearing in cars as well. For example, the Nio ET7 has a little robot named Nomi on the dashboard that even “looks” at you and “smiles”. Luckily, you can mute it, although you’ll see it on the dash with headphones on all the time.
Mini gets one too, an English bulldog. It “lives” in the infotainment system of the new Mini Cooper E and SE and is said to be an intelligent personal assistant.
From organized chaos to minimalism
The dashboard of the current Mini is best described as organized chaos. Minimalism prevails in the next generation with only a round OLED screen and hardly any physical buttons.
The virtual dog is making its debut in China
Spike the Bulldog has been the Mini brand’s mascot since 2001. As a personal assistant, it is intended to “strengthen the emotional bond between people and their car,” according to the official statement.
The virtual dog will make its debut in China next week on the Mini Concept Aceman. We already saw the Mini study model last year.
