5 reasons why you (don’t) want the Lamborghini Revuelto

Lamborghini pulled the curtain on the Revuelto last week. The plug-in hybrid super sports car is the successor to the Aventador. But why would you want this model?

The reveal of the Revuelto didn’t quite go according to plan. Pictures were already shown before the introduction.

Five reasons why you (don’t) want the Lamborghini Revuelto

Running out too early is of course no reason not to want the car. However, there are other reasons that should be considered. Autovisie picks five reasons why you (don’t) want the Lamborghini Revuelto.

1. The first Lamborghini plug-in hybrid

The Lamborghini Revuelto is the brand’s first true plug-in hybrid. In addition to a combustion engine in the car, the Italian has three electric motors. You can hang the supercar on the plug to charge the battery. So it’s the first with a plug!

2. A delicious V12

Despite the plug, there is still a 6.5-liter V12 under the hood. In fact, there aren’t even turbos bolted to the exhaust manifold there. Still a real Lamborghini!

3. Extremely fast

The V12 and 3 electric motors together deliver 1,015 hp. With this power, the super sports car sprints from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.5 seconds. The top speed is over 350 kilometers per hour.

4. Electric driving is not included

This point is actually not entirely correct. The Lamborghini Revuelto can drive 10 kilometers electrically. However, that is very, very little. They use the electric motors more to get the maximum power. In practice, there will hardly be any electric driving. Logically, with such a delicious V12!

5. Expensive and less pure

Whichever way you look at it, the Lamborghini Revuelto is a less pure Lamborghini than its predecessor, the Aventador, due to its electronic support. You can also buy a Lamborghini Aventador “already” for between 300 and 400 grand as an occasion. The plug-in hybrid is likely to be significantly more expensive, around 7 tons. Do you prefer the Aventador or the new Revuelto?
