The legendary rally car Subaru Impreza can be yours

A legendary Subaru Impreza is for sale on the Bonhams auction site. The car belonged to Richard Burns and Robert Reid, who won the 2000 Monte Carlo Rally with this example.

While it’s not Colin McRae’s car, who made a big impression with his blue car, this Subaru also has everything a true rally enthusiast – with a yard too big – could wish for.

The Subaru Impreza is a legendary car

You can’t do anything with this legendary Subaru Impreza on the public road. The car is of course not approved for use on public roads.

Although the Japanese didn’t exactly have an “old lady” as a previous owner, she looks perfect. After all, the car was completely restored with Monte Carlo Rally livery. The Subaru Impreza WRC99 has a 300 hp and 651 Nm strong four-cylinder boxer engine under the hood. There is an IHI RX Turbo on the engine block of the rally car, which is good for 2 bar pressure. In combination with a semi-automatic six-speed gearbox, it is a special rally car that demands the necessary skill from its driver.

The Subaru Impreza comes with a laptop for programming and headlights.

However, it is not enough to be able to drive well to be allowed on the road with this Subaru. A strong wallet is also required. Bonhams expects the rally legend to fetch between £430,000 and £520,000. This does not include costs for the auction itself. Money doesn’t buy happiness, although this “occasion” secretly makes me very happy.
