This is the camper of the year 2023

Like the car of the year, a camper of the year is also chosen every year. This is carried out by the Dutch Camping Car Club (NKC).

The choice is divided into four types of campers. For example, a winner is chosen in the class: motor home, coach, semi-integrated and integral. The selection is made by a specialist jury.

Motorhome of the Year

Among the motorhomes, the Tonke EQV is Camper of the Year. The motorhome is based on the Mercedes EQV. The fully electric camper has a range of up to 360 kilometers and offers four beds, an outdoor shower, a kitchen and space for a separate toilet.

The camper is the only one with an all-electric powertrain in the list.

Bus Camper of the Year

The Affinity Duo wins in the “Bus Camper” class. The camper is basically a Peugeot Boxer that is very cleverly equipped for two people.

The camper offers a fixed bed, a bathroom, a spacious kitchen and plenty of storage space.

Semi-integrated motorhome of the year

The Knaus Tourer Van 500 MQ wins in the “Partially Integrated” category. The camper is based on a Volkswagen T6.

The car has a bathroom with a spacious shower, a large kitchen that can be opened on two sides and has a nice chic design.

Integral motorhome of the year

The fourth winner of the Motorhome of the Year title is the Frankia Neo-i. The motorhome wins this prize in the integrated class. Since the jury saw only a few innovations in integrated motorhomes this year, there were only two finalists for the title “Camper of the Year” in this segment.

The Frankia Neo-i beats the Adria Supersonic 780 SL due to the relatively low basic weight, which means that the motorhome can be driven with a B driving licence, the cleverly designed bathroom and the impressive headroom of two metres.
