Mercedes-Benz employees receive another record bonus
In 2022, Mercedes-Benz employees will again receive a substantial bonus based on company profits. And that’s not a meager profit share, it’s about an amount of 7,300 euros.
Last year, the employees of the Stuttgart car brand received a handsome bonus. Then it was 6,000 euros. The bonus will be paid out to around 93,000 employees in April.
Mercedes-Benz employees receive record bonus
The fact that Mercedes-Benz can pay such a large bonus means the company has made a sizeable profit despite the chip shortage. “Despite all the challenges, the 2022 financial year was positive for Mercedes-Benz. A lot was asked of our employees under difficult circumstances. Our colleagues have achieved a lot in the past year. Because they are the ones who give their best every day and breathe life into the corporate strategy,” says Ergun Lümali, Chairman of the General Works Council of the Mercedes-Benz Group.
“With the record profit sharing, we would like to express our special thanks for the enormous flexibility and tireless commitment and allow the employees to participate appropriately in the company’s success,” says Lümali.
A fully electric future
Although Mercedes-Benz is doing well, a big change is imminent. From 2030, the company only wants to build electric vehicles – if market conditions allow it. Mercedes is already in the process of making the switch to all-electric and already has many electric models on the road.
Driving the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX
Autovisie has already driven many of the brand’s electric cars. The special thing about the Vision EQXX. The electric car can drive more than 1200 kilometers on one battery charge. Not because its battery is so extremely large, 100 kWh of usable energy, but because the car is light and extremely streamlined. In the video below, Dries van den Elzen takes you into the EV.
