Unplanned, but not unintentionally: BMW M3 CS already there
Munich has again failed to keep a yet-to-be-unveiled model secret. Today we can already get acquainted with the upcoming BMW M3 CS.
This is definitely not the first time. Almost always, when BMW wants to present a new model, all the photos are already on the World Wide Web a few days beforehand. This is also the case with the new M3 CS. on Bimmerpost You can view the model in detail.
stripping
We don’t see much shocking there, by the way. For those recently introduced to the M4 CSL, the added design cues of this M3 CS aren’t entirely unexpected. In this case, of course, the stripes on the green monster are striking, as well as the more aggressive radiator grille, splitter and diffuser.
Inside the M3 CS we find a lot of carbon, CS emblems and carbon fiber. In contrast to the M5 CS (already withdrawn from production), this extreme threesome has “only” one back seat on which three people can sit. The M5 CS had two bucket seats in the second row.
Power BMW M3 CS
This M3 CS will soon be the most powerful M3 in the range when it is officially unveiled. The super sedan is now available as a “normal” version with 480 hp or as a competition with 510 hp. How strong this CS version will be is not yet known. If BMW follows the CS recipe, we expect the six-cylinder to have an output of around 520 hp. Then the performance differences are identical to the previous generation M3.
Then we can also speculate about the design of the M3 CS. Since the M4 CSL is only available as rear-wheel drive, there is a good chance that this M3 CS will appear with all-wheel drive and thus xDrive. After all, BMW wants to give the two models their own stage.
lighter
And as befits an M3 CS, it’s also a bit lighter than the aforementioned versions. Think about a 10 kilogram reduction. These are numbers that we know from the previous generation.
We’ll soon find out exactly how it all works. At the end of January, during the 24 Hours of Daytona, BMW draws the curtain on the M3 CS.
