Satisfactory: This Mercedes 300SD gets its first wash in 18 years
Wash your car, maybe weekly or more often. In any case, as the owner of this Mercedes-Benz 300SD, you don’t leave your car painted for so long. After 18 years the car gets its first wash and that’s bad satisfying see.
The Mercedes-Benz W126 is the second generation of the S-Class. This 300SD, turbo diesel, was manufactured between 1981 and 1991. The owner has had the car for 19 years now and put it in the shed after a year of driving.

The WD Detailing team takes care of the Mercedes-Benz 300S. Besides some rust spots, it’s nice to see the old Benz looking neat again.
As you can see in the video, it takes time to get a car right again. First, the entire outside must be washed with the pressure washer. Then everything is cleaned in detail. For hard-to-reach areas with stubborn dirt, the detailers use a brush.
One of the strongest diesels ever
Even the thick diesel engine is overhauled. The well-known OM617 from Mercedes has five cylinders and a displacement of 3.0 liters. This engine block is considered one of the best ever. Copies with a million kilometers on the odometer are more common.
These engines are also very popular for using fuels other than diesel. Since the cars are old and the engine has survived the carriage in many cases, you can sometimes buy the old S-Class for little money. If you then start driving with frying fat – even if that is not allowed and is not really good for your engine – you drive even cheaper.
Somehow this driving on the oil is very sinful. The old Mercedes are real cult cars, a piece of driving history, and that should not be lost. We prefer to see every old S-Class as well-kept as this 300SD.
