This is the most streamlined electric car in the world
From a distance you might think this is a Nio car, but on closer inspection the logo is a little different. This emblem belongs to Aion, which shows the sleekest electric car in the world with the Hyper GT.
Aion is a Chinese brand of electric vehicles and has existed since 2018. The brand is part of the Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC), a major manufacturer in China.
The most streamlined electric car in the world
With the Hyper GT, Aion presents the most aerodynamic electric car in the world. The CW value is 0.19. For comparison, the Tesla Model S has a Cd value of 0.23 and the Nio ET7 has a Cd value of 0.21. Even the Mercedes-Benz EQS, the super streamlined sedan, has a lower drag coefficient of 0.20 than the Chinese.
Although the streamline is good, the car doesn’t really have an inspiring design. What is striking is that the front doors are butterfly doors. These don’t move all the way up like gullwing doors, but rather hinge like the doors of the McLaren P1.
480 km range
The world’s most streamlined electric car has a powertrain that produces 340 hp and 430 Nm. The model sprints from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in around 4 seconds. According to the manufacturer, the range is around 480 kilometers.
Little is known about the world’s sleekest electric car, the Aion Hyper GT. It is still unclear whether the electric vehicle will actually appear on public roads at some point.
The currently most streamlined electric car
Until then, the Mercedes-Benz EQS can call itself the streamlined electric car in the world. Autovisie editor Dries van den Elzen drove the EV a year and a half ago. In the video below he takes you to the S-Class of the future.
