Is that the coolest Volkswagen ID. To hum?

The Volkswagen ID. Buzz has been in the Netherlands for a few weeks now. Now that the VW is actually driving around, the tuners are raving about the design. But Delta4x4 holds back with a chic off-road version.

Delta4x4 often makes flashy versions of Volkswagen. For example, the tuner showed an adventurous transporter last year.

Off-road Volkswagen ID. to hum

So this time the Volkswagen ID. It’s Buzz’s turn and he looks cool! While the Buzz might look a little more frivolous with two-tone paintwork, this all-black paint job doesn’t look out of place on the car. The ID Buzz can also be ordered with a black finish.

The Swiss tuner not only produces the Volkswagen ID. Buzz is all black but gives the bus an off-road touch. To do this, the company screwed in 18-inch rims. Loder off-road tires (255/55R18) are mounted on these rims. Buyers can also choose tires from BF Goodrich, Cooper or General Grabber.

Not a real off-roader

Although the Volkswagen ID. Buzz looks more like an off-roader now, the car doesn’t really have those handling characteristics yet. The off-road tires will no doubt give it more grip, but the VW is only rear-wheel drive.

The electric motor on the rear axle delivers 150 kW (204 hp) and 310 Nm of torque. The motor draws its energy from a 77 kWh battery pack, with which you can drive between 400 and 480 kilometers. The range decreases slightly with the off-road tires. After all, these rubbers provide more rolling resistance.

The tires under the Volkswagen ID. In addition to the range, Buzz from Delta4x4 also has a significant negative impact on your bank account. Each rim costs 665 Swiss francs (around 672 euros). So you have lost 2687 euros for a complete set of rims. Including tires, the set costs 3991 euros.
