You can’t buy taste. Just look at this Mercedes-Maybach S-Class
Why is the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Haute Voiture in the desert? You won’t find the Dutch Quote 500 crowd there… Oh wait, we’ve got it. That’s not the target audience for this remarkable Maybach.
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Haute Voiture was presented in Dubai. You probably like rose gold and crystal white more than here. Mercedes itself describes the Haute Voiture as “one of the most extravagant models we have ever built”.
Limited Edition Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Haute Voiture
On the back of the limited edition – only 150 examples will be built – the number 680 is emblazoned, which means that under the hood is a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 with 612 hp and 900 Nm.
In its press release, Mercedes neatly states the fuel consumption of the Haute Voiture in brackets (apparently mandatory), but in environmentally conscious times that might be something to be silent about. The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class drives 1 to 7 on paper.
A bit of Frans Bauer in it
From the outside, the Haute Voiture is recognizable by its nautical blue and pink livery. The animated patterns that the doors project onto the floor when they are opened are a bit funny.
The interior of the special Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is a bit Frans Bauer, with an oasis of white and rose gold. The so-called bouclé fabric on the door panels has, among other things, a pattern in blue, beige, rose gold and gold.
You actually get a keychain with it
The infotainment system also contributes to the exuberant atmosphere. According to Mercedes, the screen shows sparkling glitter clouds and all sorts of accents in shimmering rose gold. Some menus are sprinkled with magnolia blossoms and sparkling particles.
It is not known what Mercedes-Maybach demands for the S-Class Haute Voiture. But feel free to assume at least 330,000 euros, the price of a “normal” S 680. For this you get a case and a box with a scale model and a key ring.
