Ford is recalling 634,000 SUVs due to the risk of fire
The US carmaker Ford Motor is recalling 634,000 SUVs worldwide due to the risk of fire. The cars have to be returned to the garage because the injectors may have cracked, the company said.
This could cause fuel to leak, which could cause the car to catch fire. These are the Bronco Sport and Escape models with three-cylinder 1.5-liter engines. The cars have been built since 2020.
Signals broken injectors
One of the first signs of a cracked injector is a strong smell of gasoline. Ford has now received twenty reports of fires due to the problem. In three cases, neighboring buildings also caught fire.
No Dutch Ford part of recall
Despite being a major recall, no Dutch Fords are involved. Both Escape and Bronco have not yet been delivered to the Netherlands. However, the Bronco will come to our country.
Ford Bronco comes to the Netherlands
You don’t have to expect the model in Dutch showrooms quickly. The model will not come to the Netherlands until the end of 2023.
It is also not yet known which engine the Bronco will come with on the European market. Ford supplies the off-roader in the US with a 2.3-liter four-cylinder and a six-cylinder with a displacement of 2.7, 3.0 liters and thus the 1.5-liter four-cylinder with which the problems arise.
Price list Ford Bronco
Autovisie had been rummaging through the Ford Bronco price list for some time and came across special equipment. This way you can choose what color you want for the towing eyes.
Ford supplies them in black as standard, but you can also choose blue, orange or red. They pay exactly $160 a set in America. For the money, the eyes are powder coated. The color of the item is pure luxury. You can also leave them black. After all, the towing eyes themselves are purely functional. At least if you like driving off-road
