Autovisie is always looking for used cars for the enthusiast and therefore go through the listings on the Gasmetaal.nl sales site. This time we found a Nissan Micra 160 SR.

You probably know the Nissan Micra as a solid, economical and, above all, civil car. With its rounded shapes, the third generation is a bit sensitive to taste, although it rarely happens that anyone turns their heads to the little Japanese.

However, there is a version worth worrying about. In 2005, Nissan released a 160 SR version of the Micra. Between 2006 and 2007 the model was renamed the Sport SR, later becoming the 160 SR again.

But what makes this “special” version worth looking back at? No, it doesn’t have 160 hp as the name suggests. Under the hood is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 111 hp. The torque is 153 Nm.

So the Nissan Micra is not a performance miracle, but it still wants to make good progress with its weight of 992 kilograms. The model sprints from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 9.8 seconds. The top speed is 183 kilometers per hour. It is also an economical car: an average of 6.4 liters per 100 kilometers.

A sports part

In addition to more power, the Nissan Micra 160 SR also gets a sports suspension. To make the design a bit sportier, the 160 SR comes with a different grille, chrome accents and clear direction indicators. The rear bumper was designed a little differently.

The interior of the top model also differs from a normal Micra. For example, the soundproofing has been improved, part of which is thicker glass. The seats in the Micra 160 SR offer more lateral support than the standard seats in the Micra.

Autovisie found a Nissan Micra 160 SR as the occasion. The car was originally delivered in the Netherlands, has had three owners and has only driven 115,649 kilometers. The seller puts the Micra at a price of almost 3.5 grand.
