The life-size LEGO Ford F-150 Lightning is an impressive building
You often see a LEGO version of a car, but a copy as large as this Ford F-150 Lightning is very eye-catching. The structure has the exact same external dimensions as the original EV.
The structure was manufactured by Legoland Florida. They put more than 1600 hours into the project. A total of 15 employees worked on it.
Life-size LEGO Ford F-150 Lightning
The result is a life-size Ford F-150 Lighting made from 320,740 LEGO bricks. Like the original, the car is 5.8 meters long and 2.1 meters wide, but weighs almost 1700 kilograms. This is definitely much lighter than the real Lightning of almost 3000 kilograms.
This LEGO Ford F-150 Lightning is much lighter than the real one as the power train is missing. Not a 98 or 131 kWh battery pack coupled to two electric motors producing 458 hp or 588 hp, but a set of caster wheels that allow the structure to move.
Lamborghini Sián even more impressive
The LEGO Ford F-150 Lightning is located in Florida. If you want to see the building as a Dutchman, you have to make a long journey. For a car enthusiast, it might be more fun to visit the life-size LEGO Lamborghini Sián. Located in the Museo Automobili Lamborghini in Sant’Agata Bolognese, this one is even more impressive than the Ford F-150 Lightning.
The building consists of 400,000 bricks. It took 8660 hours to build the car. What is striking about the Lamborghini is that the lightning of the Italian really works. The creators made sure that the headlights and taillights actually turn on. In addition, light strips were placed around the air scoops and flanks.
Because of all that technology – and building blocks – the LEGO Lamborghini Sián weighs 500 kilograms more than the real thing. That corresponds to 2200 kilograms. For this building you don’t necessarily have to go to the museum in Sant’Agata Bolognese. You can also experience the car online and even get behind the wheel. You can do that via this link.
