Government offers Chevrolet Impala: ‘good old American muscle’
Every year the government confiscates cars for many reasons. These and old service vehicles are then sold by the Ministry of Finance. Autovisie shows exactly how this works in this report.
This time a Chevrolet Impala is for sale. You can bid on the car on the government website. If you bid the highest amount, you can pick up the car. This amount is not what you will ultimately have to pay for your brand new car. There is an additional 15 percent “premium” on your bid.
The Chevrolet Impala as an occasion for the government
For the true enthusiast of “good old American muscle”, this is a great opportunity to acquire a thoroughbred muscle car for a relatively modest amount.
The mileage looks very attractive at first glance. Because it’s only 45,000 kilometers. But as is often the case with such cars, it is an import and therefore no NAP is available. A 100 percent statement about the actual mileage is therefore not possible.
The Impala is in fair condition
Based on the limited amount of photos available, the Chevrolet Impala appears to be in relatively good condition. There are no major dents visible and no major paintwork damage is apparent at first glance.
The front left bumper is slightly loose. The interior could use some cleaning, but otherwise it looks neat. Leather upholstery in vintage cars is sometimes prone to tearing, but in this case the previous owner seems to have handled it well.
Chevrolet Specifications
Under the hood of the Chevrolet Impala is a 5.4-liter V8. So for your money you get a real American beast. This power source is good for 250 hp at 4800 rpm and 454 Nm at 3200 rpm.
No wonder the car is quite heavy. The curb weight of the muscle car is a sloppy 1800 kilos. Still, the occasion is a godsend for the enthusiast.
