Tesla Cybertruck: Then you can count on it
When Tesla introduced the Cybertruck in 2019, production would start in late 2021. Now that this deadline has passed, there are now indications that the electric pick-up will actually go into mass production at the end of 2023.
Elon Musk already announced last June that the first models should roll off the assembly line by mid-2023. In the same year, the Texas factory will be running at full speed, Tesla confirms
Tesla Cybertruck in mass production by 2023
The exact delivery date of the first Tesla Cybertruck is still unknown. But it seems certain that 2023 will finally come.
Although a start of production is good news for enthusiasts and reserved people, the wait for a Tesla Cybertruck will still be very long. About 1.5 million people have made a down payment for the electric pickup. It is an amount of 100 dollars. So the question is whether all reservations are actually bought. To avoid too many reservations, Tesla removed the order button on the Asian and European Cybertruck sites in May. In America you can still reserve the EV.
Delayed production and changes
The production of the Tesla Cybertruck has been severely delayed because the electric vehicle has been modified several times, both technically and in terms of design. The chip shortage would also affect the model’s slower rollout.
Because of all the adjustments, the Cybertruck now looks a little different than you might remember. Spy videos have recently surfaced. Here is the car with wipers, mirrors and a revised rear. It’s not clear if you’re seeing the final production version here. Although this looks very much like a version that can roll off the assembly line. The moving images were shot at the Tesla Gigafactory in Austin.
So much more sophisticated. Those taillights are awesome, the rear bumper is more solid and finished and the rear window is folded down (please be a midgate!)
