Volkswagen Golf “VI” variant (2009 – 2013)
Even if you’ve never driven a Golf before: get in, drive off and you’ll immediately feel familiar. It is nice and quiet and comfortable, sits well and is easy to steer. The operation is logical. This is what you should pay attention to when buying a used car
In the 1.2 and 1.4 liter engines, a spark plug cable “breaks”, causing the engine to run on three cylinders. New cables solve the problem, but it can occur up to four times. The TSi engines often consume a little more oil than average. In order to protect the engine, it is strongly recommended that you strictly adhere to the maintenance intervals and check them from time to time and refill if necessary! With high mileage, the coating on the cylinders wears out, requiring an engine overhaul. Difficult, sometimes the fuel pump in the tank breaks.
