Price Ford Explorer Netherlands: cheaper than expected

It’s been more than a year since we first met the Ford Explorer. The brand is now putting the price list for the fully electric SUV online. As it turns out, the electric vehicle in the Netherlands is much cheaper than expected.

In 2023, Ford announced that the Explorer would have a price of around 45,000 euros. However, this does not appear to be the case. Getting started is significantly cheaper.

Price Ford Explorer in the Netherlands

In the Netherlands you can order a Ford Explorer from 41,450 euros. This means that this car is eligible for SEPP funding. The entry-level car has a 52 kWh battery that is coupled to a 170 hp electric motor on the rear axle. This Standard Range RWD has a range of 384 kilometers.

For a little more money, 45,950 euros, you can order the Extended Range Ford Explorer in the Netherlands. You then get a 286 hp electric motor and a large 77 kWh battery. The range is then 602 kilometers according to the WLTP measurement method. This variant is also eligible for SEPP funding because its tax value is just under 45,000 euros.

If you order the Extended Range with all-wheel drive, you will not receive any government subsidy. For at least 53,950 euros you get two electric motors that together produce 340 hp and a 79 kWh battery that can travel 566 kilometers on paper.
