In pictures: the very last generation Nissan GT-R R35

The R35 Nissan GT-R is a dream car for many enthusiasts, but that dream appears to be quickly coming to an end. The brand is saying goodbye with the 2025 version of the GT-R. We show the car in detail.

Nissan has not yet confirmed that this is the last generation of the R35. However, we read in the Japanese magazine Mag-X that 1,500 units of this model will roll off the production line from June. 300 of them are the Nismo versions.

For now, the car will only be launched in Japan. According to the magazine, Nissan dealers have been informed that this is the last generation R35. The main reason for the production stop is that Nissan will no longer be able to procure certain parts for the GT-R in the future.

In the Netherlands we no longer have to reckon with the Nissan GT-R R35. The Japanese sports car is too loud for Europe. The car has not been delivered to our continent since 2022.

It’s a shame, but otherwise the GT-R R35 with its 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 wouldn’t sell much in the Netherlands. Thanks to BPM the price would be extremely high.

Prices

In Japan, the cheapest Nissan GT-R R35 costs JPY 14,443,000. If we convert this into euros, that is 89,314.47 euros. You’ll spend more than double for the Nismo version.

It is still unclear what the future of the Nissan GT-R will look like. Nissan has already shown a concept model of a possible successor to the R35.
