Joe Biden won’t be allowed to drive this car if he wins the election again
Not becoming President of America or no longer being able to drive your favorite car? Joe Biden chooses the latter. If he wins the American presidential election again, he won’t be allowed to drive around in his beloved 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.
When he was vice president under Barack Obama in 2016 – and was not allowed to drive alone on the road – Biden was seen driving away with squealing tires in a video. Joe Biden says the Secret Service won’t allow him to drive. CNBC even says a former president will never be allowed to drive on public roads again. As president, he has to ride The Beast. It’s a shame if you have a real American V8 in your garage.
Joe Biden’s Stingray
Biden received this Corvette from his father when he got married, that was 53 years ago. It’s a 350 horsepower V8 that cost $5,600 at the time. The car is now worth just under $90,000.
Even though this car belonged to an “old man,” it was not driven quietly, as we see in the video with Jay Leno. Joe Biden does a burnout in it and says he once drove a Vette at 160 miles per hour. That’s the equivalent of 257 kilometers per hour.
It runs in the family
Joe Biden’s father worked for years at America’s largest Corvette dealer. Biden says in the video: “It was great having a dad at the car dealership because every prom you had a brand new car. “I still remember my graduation with a 1961 Chrysler 300G.”
Big presidential cars
Although you’re always being driven around as President of America, Joe Biden isn’t the only one with nice cars. For example, Donald Trump has worn out a Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster, a Rolls-Royce Phantom and a McLaren-Mercedes SLR.
