The Skoda Enyaq RS iV is the alpha male among the Enyaqs
The electric Skoda Enyaq is a success, let’s not beat around the bush. On the highway, in the city, you see the plug-in SUV driving everywhere. But in this now large Enyaq community, only one can be the alpha male. And that’s this Skoda Enyaq RS iV with 299 hp.
Correction: There are two alpha males on the price list for the Skoda Enyaq, because the coupe version has been around for a long time as a sporty RS. The model was presented to the press and the public in January this year. Ten months later, it’s the turn of the regular Enyaq RS.
Skoda Enyaq RS with 299 hp and 460 Nm
From here we can take our earlier report from January almost verbatim, because a lot is the same. The Enyaq RS has two electric motors, which together are good for 299 hp and 460 Nm.
Its top speed is limited to 180 km/h, which is 20 km/h higher than the regular Enyaq models. Enyaq RS and Coupé RS are equally fast with a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds.
The range of the coupe is slightly longer
Is there a difference between the two? Yes, although it’s not that big. The maximum range of the Enyaq RS is 500 kilometers. The coupé is 5 kilometers further on paper, probably because of its better streamline.
Both Skodas pull away smoothly at traffic lights, but lag behind a bit when it comes to fast charging. At the right charging station, they reach a maximum of 135 kW. That is less than the competition, some of which (Hyundai, Kia, Tesla) are already over 200 kW.
