Toyota announces pricing for the GR Yaris, the sportiest car you can buy today – although the Supra is also still in production. The price is higher than you pay for a BMW 5 Series. The German sedan starts at just over 66,000 euros.

This is a huge amount for a Toyota Yaris, but the model cannot be compared with the normal compact city car. It’s a hot hatch that gives supercars a hard time on the track.

The Toyota GR Yaris has a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that produces 280 hp and 390 Nm of torque. Because the GR isn’t really the most environmentally friendly at 186 grams of CO2 per kilometer (more than a BMW 5 Series 520i), you not only pay a lot for the car, but also to the Dutch government.

A BPM of 27,380 euros is paid for each Toyota GR Yaris. In addition, more than 7,000 euros in VAT apply to the net list price. In the Netherlands you pay 68,995 euros for the Toyota Yaris GR Premium and 70,995 euros for the Performance.
