Will driving with VR glasses be a problem?
“Inside mirror, outside mirror and over the shoulder”, in driving lessons you will learn to keep a close eye on the traffic around you. Even with the new driver assistance systems, you still need to pay attention. Even if not everyone understands that. In America, drivers drive with Apple VR glasses on their heads.
The VR/AR glasses are called Apple Vision Pro. With the glasses you can still see the road, but apps are projected. Your environment changes compared to reality. The glasses have been for sale since last Friday.
Driving with VR glasses
US Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg is now warning about Apple’s VR glasses. There are several videos circulating on the Internet showing someone driving a car with glasses. The driver relies entirely on the Tesla Cybertruck’s self-driving system. Previous research has already shown that this Tesla technology is merely a driving assistance system.
As a reminder, ALL advanced driver assistance systems available today require that the human driver remains in control at all times and is fully engaged in the driving task. pic.twitter.com/OpPy36mOgC

So always keep your eyes on the road and don’t drive with VR glasses like the Apple Vision Pro, says Buttigieg. “The driver must remain in control of his vehicle at all times and be fully integrated into the driving task.”
