Driving on ice with an Audi RS 4 is more difficult than it seems
Large Audi flags fly in Muonio, a Finnish town about 200 kilometers above the Arctic Circle. The German car manufacturer normally tests its vehicles here itself, but today it is Autovisie that is putting the Audi RS 4 and its Quattro system through its paces.
We were invited to an ice drifting course in Lapland. In the Netherlands it’s raining We haven’t called in a while, so we’re grabbing this opportunity with both hands.

Although it is unusually warm for this time of year, the ice here in northern Finland is still about one and a half meters thick. This makes it strong enough to drive an Audi RS 4 over.
However, banjering is not quite the right word, as it quickly becomes apparent that a lot of flexibility is required so that the superstation can glide over the ice in a controlled manner.
