The Dutch government is selling an extremely bad Bentley
Every year the government confiscates cars for many reasons. These used and old company vehicles are then sold by the Ministry of Finance. Autovisie shows exactly how this works in this report. This time an extremely bad Bentley Continental GT Speed is for sale.
You can bid on the car on the government website. If you bid the highest amount, you can pick up the car. This amount is not the amount you will ultimately have to pay for your new car. A buyer’s premium of 15 percent will be added to your bid.
Not so stylish
Bentley is a brand full of class, luxury and a rich history. Some enthusiasts view the cars as trinkets to be handled with gloves. Others think completely differently and customize their luxury car to suit their taste.
This occasion is a little off but certainly unique. The orange Bentley once started out as a normal Continental GT Speed. Although “normal” isn’t quite the right word for this luxurious drift machine. In the video below you can see Autovisie editor Dries van den Elzen dancing around the race track with the Brit.
The driving behavior of the impressive machine is due, among other things, to the 6.0 liter W12 engine, which is equipped with two turbos. With an output of 639 hp and 900 Nm of torque, the car sprints to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. The party only ends at 335 kilometers per hour. Incredibly impressive performance for the heavy GT.
The Bentley Continental GT Speed at the Dutch government
The Bentley Continental GT Speed, which is offered for sale as a used car by the Dutch government, is slightly older than the model in the video. The drive source therefore produces 610 hp and 750 Nm of torque. Unless the engine block has been treated as thoroughly as the exterior.
The used car is equipped with a veilside body kit and orange paint. The body kit has a lot of damage, but the interior of the car still looks good. The Bentley Continental GT Speed dates back to 2009 and, according to the speedometer, has accumulated 164,720 kilometers of experience since then. The event was also offered last year. Without success, because now you can bid on the Bentley again.
