Senna’s legendary Formula 1 car is now available as an affordable Lego set

There is no need to explain to car enthusiasts who Aytron Senna was. The Brazilian racing driver is one of the legends of Formula 1. His famous car has now been translated into an affordable Lego set for enthusiasts.

The car is a McLaren F1 MP4/4. This model was used in 1988 and has led to many victories in the premier class.

Ayrton Senna’s McLaren

The McLaren Formula 1 car that Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost drove had a V6 from Honda that, with the help of a turbo, produced around 675 hp at 12,500 rpm. The F1 car weighs only 540 kilograms.

The car is a driving 80s icon with rather minimalist looking cars with branded liveries that we will never see in public again. The cigarette brand has been removed from the rear wing of the Lego set. Otherwise, the car looks very similar to Senna’s F1 car.

The fact that the Lego set is a homage to the legendary driver is proven by the fact that the set includes a minifigure of Ayrton Senna.

The structure consists of a total of 693 stones. The set will be sold from March 12, 2024 for 79.99 euros. The recommended age is 18+.
