The Dutch government is selling the dubious Ferrari Testarossa
Every year the government confiscates cars for many reasons. These used and old company vehicles are then sold by the Ministry of Finance. Autovisie shows exactly how this works in this report. This time a special car is for sale: a Ferrari Testarossa from a real Wolf of Wall Street.
The Ferrari Testarossa became famous, among other things, in the film “Wolf of Wall Street”. It is not known whether this copy offered to the government also belonged to a millionaire who is not averse to shady business practices. In any case, the idea stimulates the imagination.
Ferrari Testarossa
In addition to “The Wolf of Wall Street,” the Ferrari Testarossa also played an important role in the series “Miami Vice.” However, the purebred Italian is more than just a popular film car.
The Pininfarina design of the Ferrari Terstarossa impressed friends and foes alike in the 1980s. In combination with a 4.9-liter twelve-cylinder engine that produces up to 390 hp and 500 Nm, the model was and is a true childhood dream.
The occasion
The used car offered by the government dates back to 1989 and therefore already has two mirrors in the usual places. The 1984 and 1985 models had a mirror. This was located halfway between the A-pillar on the driver’s side. In contrast to the first Ferrari Testarossas, this one also has five wheel bolts. The earlier examples have a central wheel bolt.
The used car was brought to the Netherlands in 1997 and, according to the speedometer, has a mileage of 28,874 kilometers. The photos do not show any maintenance records. The TÜV has already expired in 2021.
