The five most reliable used cars according to a study
The study of the five most reliable used cars includes 21,732 cars, spread across 178 models and 32 brands. Each model is evaluated based on repair bills and how long the car has been in the garage.
1. Kia Sportage
The reliability rating of the Kia Sportage sold from 2016 to 2021 is 100 percent. The SUV proves to be extremely reliable.
1. Lexus NX
The Lexus NX also achieved a 100 percent rating. Not entirely unexpected, as the model from 2014 to 2021 has proven to be very solid in several studies.
1. Porsche Cayman and Boxster
More noticeable in this list of reliable used cars are the Porsche Cayman, which was produced from 2005 to 2013, and the almost identical Boxster.
Both models also achieved 100 percent of the score. This means that owners in the survey reported that their car was working fine for the last 24 months and there were no complaints about the car.
1. Renault Captur
The Renault Captur is also tied for first place. The car was produced from 2013 to 2019 and appears to be a reliable used car.
5. Suzuki SX4 S-Cross
We finally got off the top spot. The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross, which was produced from 2013 to 2021, is immediately in fifth place. The car seems quite reliable.
Only 5 percent of the owners who took part in the study had a defect in their used car. These were usually minor problems. The reliability score is 99.4.
5.Toyota Yaris Hybrid
The Suzuki shares fifth place with the Toyota Yaris Hybrid. That’s why we’re also highlighting this sixth occasion. It is the umpteenth Japanese car to appear in the reliability list. This study concerns the years of construction 2011 to 2020.
