A new Toyota pick-up costs 12,000 euros and is a perfect Christmas present
We used to get a LEGO kit for Christmas, now we’re looking at Santa begging for this Toyota Hilux Champ. A new, small pick-up that only costs 12,000 euros.
This works with our bearded friend. Finally, we picked out a stylish new sleigh for him too. What’s more, this Toyota is even cheaper than the budget pick-up that Fiat recently introduced.
Toyota Hilux Champ as a kit
As you probably already know, this Toyota, like the Fiat pickup mentioned above, is not intended for the European market. A pity. The car is intended for Thailand and costs between 12,000 and 15,000 euros there.
However, buyers of a Toyota Hilux Champ still have to partially assemble it themselves, just like LEGO kits of the past. said Jurachart Jongusuk of Toyota’s technical staff in an interview with Road and rail that the pickup is approximately 70 percent fully assembled upon delivery. The customer has to do the rest themselves.
Collection for various purposes
There is a small gasoline or diesel engine in the nose. Don’t expect unnecessary luxury for the incredibly low price of the Toyota Hilux Champ. Don’t expect luxury at all. The non-functional pickup is delivered naked. Toyota sees it as a blank canvas that the user can design according to their own wishes.
In the photos that the brand shows of the Hilux Champ, you can see how the pickup is used for various purposes. It is depicted as a sales stand, a baggage truck and – our favorite – an overlander.
