Citroën and Peugeot auction 100 classics and concepts. Take your shot!

Would Citroën and Peugeot sometimes need space in their storage space? Because the French brands are auctioning off a hundred classic cars, racing cars and concept cars in one fell swoop. We picked out the highlights. Is there something of your interest?

Many car manufacturers have warehouses where old concept cars, design studies and competition cars gather dust. In Paris, Citroën and Peugeot have a conservatory, with high shelves on which the entire history of the brands is moved. But every now and then, apparently, space needs to be created. Because now you can buy unique cars from the collection including this one…

Peugeot 406 with bullet holes (1998) – 5500 euros

A unique collector’s item for those on a budget. Because for between 3500 and 5500 euros you can get this Peugeot 406 “Mitraillée”, which is riddled with bullets in the film Taxi.

Citroën ZX Rally Raid Evo 5 (1995) – 300,000 euros

This Dakar car had an interesting life. Born in 1993 as the Citroën ZX Rallye Raid Evo 2, it won two off-road events and finished second in the 1994 Dakar Rally. In the same year it was upgraded to Evo 3 specification, eventually ending up as the Evo 5 (1995).

Peugeot 406 Coupe Silhouette (2000) – 65,000 euros

This is not a real Peugeot 406 coupe, but a silhouette racer. This means it is built around a tubular chassis over which a 406 carriage has been laid. The 406 silhouette has a 3.0-liter V6, 300 hp and rear-wheel drive.

Peugeot 806 Procar (1995) – 80,000 euros

The only MPV to ever show up at the start of the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Although it was a serious racing car, it was above all a clever marketing tool. Its powertrain comes from the 405 Mi 16 Superturismo with the 280 hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder from the 308 Maxi.

Peugeot 905 Spider (1993) – 70,000 euros

Looks a bit like the Le Mans-winning Peugeot 905, but has little to do with it. This open racing car was intended for a Peugeot one-make cup held from 1992 to 1994. Only twenty 905 Spiders were built.

Poncin VP 2000 (1982) – €22,500

A 6×6 amphibious vehicle powered by a Citroën Dyane engine. The Poncin has no steering wheel. You change direction with two levers that change the degree of drive on the left and right wheels. So like a tank.

Peugeot 4002 (2003) – 8000 euros

Only 8000 euros? For such a unique prototype? Yes, that doesn’t seem like much, but you don’t get much. This is a design study with no technology on board. The 4002 can’t even roll. His wheels are stuck. So nice for your living room, this concept car.
