Arguing with the neighbors? Then this Hummer is the ideal car for you
I don’t know how serious disputes between neighbors can get, but with this Hummer H1 you’re at least prepared for the worst. He is fully armored and can electrify people.
We will briefly explain the history of the lobster. It was developed in the early 1980s by AM General for the American army, which was looking for a replacement for the Jeep.
Official name lobster
The Hummer’s official name is High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, or HMMWV, or Humvee. He became known to the general public in the early 1990s through the Gulf War.
Arnold Schwarzenegger
The civilian version of this is thanks in part to Arnold Schwarzenegger, who saw an army convoy drive by while filming Kindergarten Cop and became greedy for the HMMWV.
Almost 12,000 copies
The Hummer – later called the Hummer H1 – went into production in 1992. It was taken off the market again in 2006. AM General and General Motors built nearly 12,000 units during this time.
Duramax diesel V8
This Hummer H1 Wagon is one of the very last and is equipped with a 6.6 liter Duramax diesel V8 with 300 HP and 705 Nm. Don’t expect smooth sprints, because the colossus weighs no less than 3680 kilos.
Electric door handles
RM Sotheby’s auction house does not mention what kind of person the previous owner was, although we are very curious about it. Because who would have fully armored their H1?
The body is bulletproof and the engine compartment is even lightly armored. The windows are more than 5 centimeters thick and the door handles can be electrified to deter attackers.
Lobster was auctioned in January
The Hummer H1 Wagon will be auctioned at RM Sotheby’s in Arizona on January 24th and is estimated at $225,000 to $300,000. That’s between 200,000 and 275,000 euros.
