Dive into the price list: This is how much the new Peugeot 208 costs

Peugeot’s success was renewed. It still has the number 208 on the back, but the Peugeot 208 has been addressed where necessary. We put one together and familiarize ourselves with a look at the price list.

Since its launch in 2019, the Peugeot 208 has been one of the brand’s most successful (current) models. After four years, Peugeot thought it was time for a facelift. There’s more news than just the new bumper work. In this article we list the most important differences for you. In this insight into the price list, we look at the associated prices and put one together.

Prices renewed Peugeot 208

Let’s start right away with these prices. The Peugeot 208 is available in its latest form from 24,050 euros. Unfortunately, this is a completely normal entry-level price in the B segment these days. If you have to spend a little more, you can get 25 hp more for an extra 1,000 euros. Anyone who invests 27,550 euros gets hybrid technology and a six-speed automatic transmission. The most powerful fuel model is the Hybrid 136 e-DCS6 with a starting price of 32,250 euros. The electric Peugeot e-208 costs at least 35,320 euros for the EV 50kWh 136PS and 37,320 euros for the EV 51kWh 156PS.

If you look at the equipment variants, the basic model Active is available from just 24,050 euros. Above that are the Allure from 26,450 euros (corresponds to the 100 hp petrol engine) and the GT from 28,450 euros. The Peugeot e-208 offers the new limited edition E-Style between Active and Allure from 36,470 euros. The highest starting price is for the e-208 GT in the most powerful version, available from 40,720 euros.

Standard equipment Peugeot 208

Buying a new car is expensive enough these days, so this week we’re sticking with the absolute base model, the Peugeot 208 Active with a PureTech 75 petrol engine and five-speed manual gearbox. So you transfer 24,050 euros to Peugeot, but what do you get in return?

The Peugeot 208 comes standard with 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, heated exterior mirrors, fabric upholstery, an analogue meter with a 3.5-inch display in between, a 10-inch infotainment screen, Bluetooth, wireless mirror screen (smartphone Connection) and cruise control. Not bad at all, right? If you choose the e-208, the Active also offers an armrest between the front seats, an electric parking brake, an additional USB-A and USB-C port, automatic air conditioning, automatic wipers and Connect One and Connect Plus. For the EV’s higher price, you get more than just the different powertrain.

If you want things like larger rims, full LED lighting, extra tinted windows, leatherette upholstery, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone charger, keyless entry and start, rearview camera, parking assist, etc. then you have to in invest in one of the higher equipment variants.

Outdoor decoration

While the Peugeot 208 was delivered as standard in yellow before the facelift, you now have to pay extra for the color. The standard color is white, for an additional charge of 600 euros you can choose between light gray, dark gray, black and the eye-catching green-yellow presentation color. For bright blue or dark red you pay an extra 780 euros. We’re going to make that investment and choose red.

There is officially no other choice of rims, but you can choose a different 16-inch light alloy wheel from the accessories list for 816 euros. You will then receive this as an additional wheel set.

Interior decoration

There is no choice for the interior of the Peugeot 208 Active, you get the dark gray fabric upholstery. Maybe a little colorless, but otherwise of course fine. Seams in the green-yellow color create some fringing.

Packages and individual options

The equipment on board is mainly determined by the trim level you choose, but there are also some additional options. We opt for heated front seats (300 euros) and the navigation package (500 euros, navigation plus manual emergency call via SOS button). We do without the rear parking sensors (200 euros), front/rear parking sensors (436 euros), the 180-degree reversing camera (243 euros) and the preparation for a spare wheel (20 euros, the wheel itself can be purchased separately). ).

Assemble the new Peugeot 208 yourself

With our few additions, the price of our Peugeot 208 Active is 25,630 euros. Especially for those who don’t necessarily need a car with all the bells and whistles, you can get a fairly complete B-segment car for this price. How would you put together the new Peugeot 208? Do you also opt for the basic model or do you invest in the electric drive and/or more luxury on board? All equipment and prices can be found in the configurator and in the price list at www.peugeot.nl.
