Would we buy a Hyundai Grandeur if it were on the market here? Yes!
Let Hyundai slide. The once silly budget brand has become a serious global player, not only in the field of electric drives, but also in terms of design. Because let’s face it, this Hyundai Grandeur looks like something to drive through.
An expensive ring, then, because the Grandeur is a luxury sedan in the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class segment. Will it be released in Europe? Are you bad! But if it were, we’d be first in line with a handful of flaps. ‘Shut up and take my money!’
Hyundai Grandeur is a beautiful appearance
Why? Because an A6, 5 Series or an E-Class is just so commonplace. When you pull up in a Hyundai Grandeur, you have a story to tell. Because in Europe, Hyundai is not exactly known for its expensive sedans.
In Korea yes. There you had the Hyundai Centennial, Dynasty and Equus. The new Grandeur is a beautiful sight to us, with its traditional sedan lines, distinctive ‘split’ C-pillar and minimalist Apple styling.
Interior with a slight retro vibe
The cabin has a slight retro vibe. We can’t imagine that, because according to Hyundai, the interior is inspired by the very first Grandeur, launched in 1986. Exactly one year ago, Hyundai presented a modern interpretation of the original model with the Grandeur Heritage.
Not a fully electric drive
Incidentally, the Korean brand has not yet announced anything about the drive train of the seventh Grandeur generation. But it is clear that it is not electric. We’re talking about four-cylinder engines with hybrid technology and even just a thick 3.5-liter V6.
