The electric new Peugeot e-Rifter is actually old
The revised Peugeot e-Rifter has been given a cool nose, but strangely retains the “old” electric drive from Stellantis.
To be clear: the Peugeot e-Rifter is the passenger version of the Partner, the company car. Just like the Citroën, the ë-Berlingo is the passenger version of… well, just the ë-Berlingo, but the van.
The “new” Peugeot e-Rifter
The Peugeot Rifter is only available with electric drive in the Netherlands. Like the updated Peugeot e-208, it will have a 156 hp electric motor, a 54 kWh battery and a range of more than 400 kilometers. No, unfortunately not.
Old technology
The e-Rifter retains the “old” Stellantis technology, so it has 136 hp (only in power driving mode), 50 kWh and a range of 320 kilometers. That was originally 280 kilometers, but Peugeot managed to make the e-Rifter a little more efficient with, among other things, a heat pump for the air conditioning.
The specified sprint time to 100 km/h is therefore of little relevance; it would be 11.2 seconds. There are no planks on the highway because the top speed is limited to 135 km/h.
The e-Rifter is available in two lengths: 4.4 and 4.7 meters. Both are available as five or seven seaters. The interior features digital instruments and a 10-inch infotainment screen.
