Why you are now suddenly receiving a subsidy for the Nissan Ariya
Car brands with electric models want to make a final push in the last two months of 2023. Tesla deducts a few thousand euros from the Model Y price and now the Nissan Ariya is also on offer.
The Tesla Model Y is now 2,000 euros cheaper and is entitled to SEPP funding with its new starting price of 44,990 euros. You now get a whopping 3,000 euro discount on the Nissan Ariya, which also brings it to 44,990 euros.
Nissan Ariya in the basic configuration
This starting price applies to the Ariya Engage – the basic configuration – with a 63 kWh battery that can travel a maximum of 404 kilometers on a full battery charge. It is powered by an electric motor with 217 hp and 300 Nm. The version is also available as Advance and Evolve.
Even 7000 euros cheaper
One level higher is a 242 hp Ariya with an 87 kWh battery and a range of 536 kilometers on paper. Nissan even makes this version “cheaper” by 7,000 euros, so the starting price is 47,990 euros. This amount also applies to the Engage equipment level.
All-wheel drive variants
And we’re not done with the Nissan Ariya yet, because the Japanese electric SUV is also available with all-wheel drive. There are two so-called e-4orce variants: with 306 hp and with 396 hp. Both have an 87 kWh battery and have a range of around 500 kilometers.
Of course, these versions don’t even come close to the SEPP funding limit of 45,000 euros. The Ariya with 306 hp – which is an Advance after all – costs at least 54,990 euros. For the top model with 396 hp, always an Evolve+, Nissan charges 64,990 euros.
The Nissan Ariya could use a set
The Nissan Ariya could use another set in the Netherlands, as around 880 examples have been sold so far. The fact that the basic model is now eligible for funding is a bonus.
SEPP grant of 2950 euros
Private individuals can apply for SEPP funding for a new electric car with a price of less than 45,000 euros. The funding amount is 2950 euros.
In 2024, this amount was supposed to decrease, but the government decided at the last minute to maintain the amount. Demand for electric vehicles is declining due to uncertainty about the economy and government stimulus measures.
SEPP funding is not as popular this year as in other years. Part of the funding for new cars is still available.
